# Priority Profiles

> How city priority rules affect hazard emphasis in the dashboard, in user terms.

  These tasks are for **workspace administrators**. If you do not see **Priority
  Profiles** on Settings, ask your workspace administrator.

The page title is **Priority Profiles**. The Settings card says it **configures city priority rules, hazard weights, and GIS-based enrichment**.

## What this changes for everyday users

Priority settings influence **scores or emphasis** you see on hazards (for example in lists and maps). Higher priority items may sort higher or look more urgent. The exact math is internal; what matters for training is that **your organization’s rules** drive the numbers staff see.

## Working on the page

The live screen may include sliders, weights, profiles, or saved presets. Always:

1. Review what each section is labeled in the UI.
2. Make small changes and check the [Hazard List](/records/list) or [Pin Map](/maps/pin-map) with a known hazard to see whether behavior matches expectations.
3. Coordinate with leadership before large changes, because priority affects how crews triage work.

## GIS enrichment

Some options tie priority to map layers or attributes from your GIS connections. Those layers must already work on [GIS Connections](/settings/gis-connections).

## Mistakes and recovery

If results look wrong after a change, use the product’s **undo**, **revert**, or **reload** options if available, or restore values from documentation your administrator keeps outside the app.
