What an organization is

In the dashboard, an organization (or workspace) is the account that owns your maps, hazards, work orders, and settings. Your email can belong to more than one organization if you were invited to each.

Active organization

All map and list data reflects the active organization. The top bar user menu lists Organization with a check mark on the active one when you belong to multiple. Settings also shows Active organization with a dropdown when you have more than one membership. The helper text explains that switching changes the map, pins, and layers for the whole dashboard. After you switch, the app refreshes so permissions and data match the new organization.

Roles (high level)

The Settings page shows your Role next to your email. Values are chosen by your workspace (for example labels such as Admin, Supervisor, Standard, or Observer on the member management screen). In everyday terms:
  • Workspace administrators can manage members, GIS connections, assignees used on work orders, and priority profiles. Those sections appear as cards on Settings with an Admin badge.
  • Other roles can use maps, lists, and work orders according to your organization’s rules. If a Settings card is missing, your role does not include that access.
This help site does not describe internal operator-only tools. If you never see administrator cards, you are not expected to perform those tasks.

Invitations

Only workspace administrators invite new users. See Workspace invitations.
